Our affordable, spacious apartments include:
Rents range from $610 to $860 and include water, sewer and garbage. Residents are responsible for electricity, gas, telephone and cable TV costs. Housing subsidies from Section 8 - Seattle Housing Authority - are accepted.

Total household income cannot exceed 80% of the median income for King County. Assets are not considered when qualification is determined. Each household must have a senior age 55 and over living in the apartment. Younger family members are permitted. The SSSF/The Brighton does not discriminate. See our Non-Discrimination Statement.

The Brighton Team is led by the SSSF Executive Director, with an On-site Resident Manager and full time Maintenance and Housekeeping staff. Our Resident Outreach Coordinator works with the Resident Outreach Committee made up of board members and residents, to plan resident activities and educational opportunities.

A Neighborhood Under One Roof
More than 225 residents live in The Brighton’s 124 apartments, which are owned and operated by the Southeast Seattle Senior Foundation. The Brighton community is comprised of a very diverse group of independent seniors living alone or with families or friends. Languages you will hear spoken in building include English, Amharic, Somali, Oromo, Arabic, Tagalog, and Spanish.
