Volunteer Opportunities
The Southeast Seattle Senior Foundation believes that community programs can help solve problems, enrich lives, and give us opportunities to experience new things. Here we’ve listed just a few. There are many more to experience.
Transitional housing programs provide temporary housing and supportive services to help homeless individuals and families make the transition to long-term housing within two years. With offices located in the lower level of The Brighton, Muslim Housing Services serves the immigrant and refugee community by providing transitional housing and case management services for those most at risk for homelessness. Supported by the City of Seattle, United Way, and others, Muslim Housing Services provides housing and case management services for more than 500 clients per year.
The Southeast Seattle Senior Center is a division of Senior Services of King County. Residents of The Brighton have convenient access to the Senior Center’s services. Located next door to The Brighton, Senior Center membership is free for all interested Brighton residents 50 years of age and older.

Our differences are good — we are unique individuals.
Learn something about someone else's traditions, and share something special about your own.
"Muslim Housing Services is very happy to have its offices at The Brighton. Its convenient location is very easy for our clients to find, and The Brighton staff is warm and welcoming. We are looking forward to co-sponsoring an ESL program with The Brighton for their residents and our clients who are non-English speakers. "
